We’ve had an affinity for heavier materials since well before we started manufacturing our goods. But as our company has developed, so has our belief that using less substantial fabrics doesn’t require a sacrifice in the quality or longevity of a garment. For SS20, we’ve created a short sleeve variation of our classic work shirt design using a deadstock, vintage poplin fabric.
Poplin is characteristically woven tightly using two different yarn thicknesses: a finer warp yarn and a thicker weft yarn. This results in a crisp fabric that is lightweight, breathable and naturally resistant to stains and wrinkling. The poplin we’ve selected for this season is 100% cotton and features a woven stripe pattern that we’ve alternated on the breast pocket. Tonal corozo buttons join the shirt together, and each seam is flat felled and securely bound by a double needle chain stitch.
NOTE: These shirts run smaller than our other workwear, we suggest sizing up one size.
